About us
Copenhagen Downtown Hostel is a hostel with 83 rooms, divided onto common, private and family rooms with a bar, event space and much more. We have won several awards and welcome more than 100.000 guests every year.

Tasks:
Cleaning of the rooms, bathrooms and common areas
Inspection of housekeepers jobs and tasks
Scheduling, budgets, orders, hiring ect
Training new staff in cleaning procedures
Taking care of the hostels’ cleaning equipment such as trolleyes, machines etc.
Reporting lost and found items to reception
Ensuring proper communication with reception regarding the cleaning progress
Close cooperation with the management
Ensuring all new staff is properly using the right chemicals in accordance to the regulations
Training all staff in customer service
Dealing with and covering sick calls and holidays
Participating in weekly management meetings

Requirements:

Hardworking attitude and job oriented mindset
Previous experience in a similar position welcome but not required
Ability to communicate in English, Danish is a
You are good under pressure and can create and follow procedures
You are flexible and work well with others (team player)
You are available to work on weekdays as well as weekends, both in the mornings and in rare occasions if necessary during the evenings
You are able to lead by example and take pride in your work
You are positive, outgoing, smiling and most importantly care for our guests

The first few month the job will be in close cooperation with a cleaning consultant: in order to train and introduce properly to the task at hand. So don’t worry you will get all the help you need.
